You have to make sure you have limited slip additive for the back if your truck is equipped.
Is the additive built-in or is it something I have to buy in addition? I'm assuming my 2002 Yukon Denali would need it??

Based on everything I have read, 2002 Yukon Denali does not need it and is not advised to use.....?

Thinking of using just regular gear oil. Something like
Valvoline Synthetic Blend Gear Oil 80W-90 1 Gallon. Seems that people might just be using regular convention or blend for the front diff from what I'm seeing. .......... ???

Your owners manual does not specify synthetic for the front like it does for the rear, but I have run synthetic in my vehicles with no issues.

Current shopping cart and ready to order so I can get after this today. Some modifications. Sorry probably driving some nuts with this, just want to make sure it's done right.

Front Diff: Valvoline 80W-90 High-Performance Conventional Gear Oil
Rear Diff: Mobile 1 Synthetic Gear Lubricant LS 75W-90

No.

You are not alone in your questions. A few folks on here have gone down some deep rabbit holes trying to filter through the myths, misinformation, snake oils and such when it comes to Differential fluids.

What do you have for a rear end? On the RPO sticker in your glove box, does it have G80 listed as one of the codes?
