well after i just replaced the intake manifold for the 3rd time. i started it up with thermostat in and it stayed cool. then i ran it again and it jumped to 260 and then the leak started at the rear head bolt. and its leaking a good amount of water. heads are months new. so then we took out the thermo and it runs cool... i have a 1999 2 dr 5.7 with a brand new 2 core rad. sooo im pretty tired of the process of these repairs. would blue devil head gasket sealent work?

yeah. I would think that would be an issue for overheating and maybe either cracked a head or gasket. Or perhaps the head gasket was damaged during install. Is the correct coolant and mixture is there as well?
