My Wife was running the radio on the Tahoe for a long time while washing the truck. The battery was already a little weak, and she said it didn't want to start when she got back in it. She hooked up jumpers from our other vehicle and got it started.

When she got it running, the service traction control light was on.

Nothing else was done, & she didn't spray or remove anything under the engine bay. We've never had any issues with traction control, abs, or anything related. Truck has 55k miles.

Coincidence, or do weak batteries cause all kinds of issues on these trucks?

Thanks
Shawn

That's a good question. I have a similar issue with my ltz. It will display service battery charging system. I have had the bat and alt checked 3 times and they were both good. Ileft the radio on for about an hour and it was to weak to start it. Any ideas?

It should be able to sit for 2 months and start rite up......If not there is a draw somewhere or a weak battery.

Mine is dead right now. I'm getting a battery after work. It had been intermittently flashing stabiltrak and traction control lights, while driving for the past month. When it had its fits, it would cycle the cd player at shut off and reset the clock. It stopped doing that altogether and wouldn't start, a minute or so later it would fire up. Today...not so much. 30 minutes later...dead as a door nail. It usually does it when it's super hot out...as in the heat wave we just entered.

OP, is it the factory battery? Mine is and I know it's due to be replaced.

If you can buy a Sears Die Hard Gold......you will not be sorry.

Are you still receiving the "Service Traction" light after re-starting the vehicle? Any other warning lights?
