Looking to pick up some weathertech floor liners for my 2011 police Tahoe. My Tahoe has the strange police floor finish. Anyone have experience combining the two? I don't anticipate any problems, just want to be sure before I pull the trigger on $300 plus worth of floor mats.

Never mind. Spoke to weathertech on the phone. They do not suggest using their mats with the vinyl floors of the police model. Anyone have suggestions on what they used?

Speaking from experience. I've had two different units assigned to me over the years that had that black rubber like floor finish. I had mats with a good plain old rubber bottom side to them and it seemed to help hold them. On that thought however, any dust build up, rocks, etc, acts like ball bearings and the mats would slide around, so it was a constant fight. Bright side was, it made me keep the floor washed out real good. Main thing to remember is, wash that flooring with just plain soap and water so it doesn't get a slick surface. We had one guy who didn't want to use mats and he used Mop and Glo on the vinyl flooring LOL. It didn't work out real good for him.

Those floors had pros and cons to them. When a drunk puked all over the place, they were the best thing since sliced bread!
