I just received my weathertech floor liners for the front and 2nd row of my 07 yukon. I am very impressed with the front set but the 2nd row floor liner is noticeably flimsier than the front. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes.

The thing is though that....... at worst....... these things are still the best.

I bought my 3rd row for the Suburban for like a 100.00. I immediately thought that these things are flimsy and NOT worth what they charge for them........

However when I found my sets in CraigsList I instantly bought them.

Now I have 2 Full sets in the Yukon XL and the Suburban. Cheap.:)

I don't understand why weathertech just doesn't use the same material/construction used in the front set!

I just finished speaking with weathertech about this. I was told that the floor liners for the 2nd row are made different than the front liners for a reason. She said she could not remember the reason!!! She offered to get the answer to my question and send it in an email. I will post the email as soon as I get it.

I don't see this as a big deal. For 99% of the people the front mats get a LOT more wear than the backs anyway

My front seat and second row weathertech mats are made the same actually. Hah, I don't know which ones I have. But my 3rd row floor mat is very thin, but it does what it was meant for, it keeps everything off my carpet.

I honestly think my front ones are more flimsy. The side of the mats that rides against the kick panels kinda hangs down and dont sit tight against it like it should. Plus, I HATE how slippery the bottom of the mats are. The mats slide all over the place. Its extremely annoying. I wish they had little studs or nubs on the bottom to kinda bite the carpet and prevent the slipping. The second row mat w/ captains chairs fits perfect. Its actually a very tight fit.
