I installed a pioneer touch screen that does practically everything. It works and sounds awesome except for the speakers randomly cutting off for no apparent reason. Everything will still work but I have no sound at all. I already checked every connection throughout the entire system. I also ran a dedicated ground to the head unit only. Still having the same problem. It's hard to troubleshoot because there's not one specific thing that causes it. Any ideas?

Wrong impedance can overwork a amp and make it clip. What speakers did you use.

Actually my sub and amp work fine. 2 of my door speakers are sony and the other 2 are factory. They all go out except for my sub.

Need more info. What is the power source for the door speakers. It doesn't sound like a HU problem.

The door speakers are only powered by the HU which is a pioneer touch screen. I think its 50 watts per channel.

Check all the positive and negative connections on the speakers they may be screwed up and sending very low impedance which will overheat the hu amp.

Most likely it's a speaker wire pinched to ground somewhere. I would remove each speaker ANd check the connection.
If that does not solve it then you will have to bench test the radio. Remove it connect it to a jumper pack or similar and connect a speaker and try to get it to do the same.

Was an adapter harness used? If not, Could be HU since all 4 speakers cut out at the same time. Unless whoever did the install screwed up all the connections/crimps. Connecting + or - shouldn't matter, it will just play speakers in "reverse" phase or whatever. Like others suggested, check connections at the HU. It's easier to get to first instead or removing all your door panels.
