What’s up guys ?

Ok so I was fooling around with the trailer brake while the truck was parked & the Ignition was off. Instantly a check engine light came on. So I start the truck and check the code. Comes up as P1682. Anyone ever see this caused from the trailer brake ? Truck starts and runs fine.

As always I appreciate any assistance/comments.

Thanks

The P1682 code means that there is a difference in voltage between the ignition switch circuit 1 and circuit 2. ... The code you are getting P1682 is due to the ECM seeing a difference in the voltage levels of the two main power inputs to the ECM and will store the code when one voltage is different than the other...

My bet is having the trailer cosnnected means you have a wire that may be frayed.....leaking voltage. check resistance at each terminal on wire harness.
