It’s an 07, 08 & 09 thing. Not sure if it’s on 100% of those years though. Your sensors can get dirty and not recognize poles or walls in your blind spots. Put some soft obstacles behind your truck before you trust the beeps 100%.

I kissed a lamp post backing in once. I had the dealer do something as a freebee to wake up a lazy sensor in the past.

I've never had a problem with mine, except for replacing one of the sensors. On the other hand, I've never continued to back up, once the first yellow light comes on.
