What are these?

I was looking for the coolant drain plug on my radiator, and found two sensors or something that are unplugged under the truck. Attached are the pictures of each one, black one was on the passenger side and the other was towards the driver side.

those are the ambient air temp sensors, they just clip into the grill or front end, you should be able to see where they go by looking up from where they are dangling

I believe one is for the engine compartment temp and the other is for the outside air temp

That last one pictured, with blue and green clips is the ambient air temp that displays exterior temp in your center view mirror, mine is clipped along the side of the radiator behind my grille, towards the drivers side of the grille. I believe that’s the correct spot for it.

Glad someone both asked and answered this.
I have one dangling and the clip is destroyed. Only one "latch" is left and the rest is broken brittle plastic.
