My brother works for JCI and gets discounts if they make they battery is the only reason I mentioned it. Sears DieHard is on the list but I assume that doesn't include the high output, 4 year warrantied, military grade, continuum transfunctioner, platinum p4 or whatever else you wanna call it since they don't make that particular model :Handshake:

I've had a Duralast for the past 3 years. Still going strong. steamroller is correct. JC pretty much rules the vast majority of the auto battery market.
I bought the Duralast based on a 4 year old article from Consumer Reports that rated them the highest (at the time). Interstate was in the middle, while Autocraft and Diehard were fairly low. Don't know if much has changed since then. I imagine it has.
I have no experience with OPTIMA. Seems others say they go out after about 2 years or so. probably good to check other forums for addtional opinions.

It's all gravy. I meant to quote wpnzrule about the "military grade" comment. My P4 just seems to be more stable than the Optimas I've had before and so far and I've gone through 2 in my HOE, one red and one yellow. the yellow top died out of nowhere. I needed a battery and the P4 fit the bill with top post for my system and side post for the regular bs. Only time I've had a diehard die on me is when I let it sit too long.

I have OPTIMA Yellowtop for over 5 yrs and no problems.

I def do recommend DieHard either GOLD or Platium.

Gold is 8 year warranty. 3 yr full replacement 5 yr prorated

Platium is Diehards version of the Optima so it has both side and top terminals for extra gagets and gizmos plus the power to handle it. I think it has a 10 yr warranty. 4 yr full replacement and 6 yr prorated.

ONLY SOLD AT SEARS!
