This is going to get all opinions from all angles.......

Personally, I run a high quality 5w-30 full synthetic. I get mine from Reladyne - Duramax Full Synthetic. It has good quality base stocks, good quality additives, and rates well on the oil standard tests. Bought in bulk, I can get it for about $3.30 per quart.

Welcome to the forum from Iowa.

Might do a quick search here. I’m sure you’ll find more information and opinions than you ever thought you would need.

There are probably more threads here about oil preferences than anything else other than oil filters which is pretty much a tie. Those two are followed closely by threads about tire preferences.

That being said, people will certainly give your there opinion.

Newbie here. What brand oil are most using? Mine has 152K.
'What brand?' is negligently imprecise.
Have only used Group4 synthetic 0W30 or 5W30 or 5W40, with a strong preference for Valvoline, Pennzoil, Quaker State, STP, or Mobil1, since 1999.
Once Castrol stopped making their Euro Grün Öl, I swore off the rest of their schidt.

Recently fell for Valvoline's marketing hype about Restore & Protect 5W30.
Seriously considering cutting this stuff one quart at a time with the V R&P:

Pics of the truck, please.

You are already receiving sage advice from the knowledgeable folks on this Forum.

I believe that you will be OK using just about any name brand oil, with the correct viscosity for your truck.

I've used Mobil1 in all my vehicles since it first came out and never had a problem. Switched to Royal Purple last change, didn't see any difference so going back to M1 this time. Honestly I think if you change your oil regularly and the truck isn't doing severe duty type work any good quality dino oil would work just fine. I just happen to like the extra protection you get from the syn oil. Mine doesn't always get changed on time.

Change interval is much more important than brand. Pick a brand and change it frequently.
