What bulbs are people using to replace the DRL bulbs? LED?

Both of mine are burnt out and I noticed there are 2 filaments... someone used the wrong bulb... I read a TSB (see below) that recommends an updated bulb, but I feel I may a swell use an LED. Is there a recommended source? part #?

This bulletin is being revised to add model information and to announce availability of new DRL bulb part number.

Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 00-08-42-010 (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).

A new 14 volt DRL bulb, PIN 15199562 (trade bulb # 4114K), is now available for use whenever a DRL lamp bulb on the above listed vehicles requires replacement. This more robust, higher voltage DRL bulb replaces P/N 1999482 (trade bulb #.4157K). These bulbs should be replaced in pairs for customer satisfaction.

@OneofFew, not necessarily the wrong bulb. The owner's manual and bulb charts show the dual-filament bulb is the one to use -- for DRLs, I have no idea why. Always wondered about that, one of life's little mysteries.

Side note, use 4114 halogen or led. Can be found at any local parts store. Learned the hard way with my Silverado, went through 2 pairs of 3157 LEDs when I finally did some research and found out the correct bulb.

There are only 2 wires going to the bulb socket, so only 1 filament can be powered. Makes no sense that chevy used a 2 filament bulb. I guess that bulb is what they had in stock, so they ran with it...

I have read that the 4114k bulb is designed for higher voltage than the 3157.

I replaced some 2008 eBay specials with these two years ago and still going good. I really like them.
