In observance of Mothers Day on Sunday and my wife’s birthday last Friday, I decided to spruce up her ride a little bit.

She needed new tires, anyway, and rather than sticking with the 17s, I got her a set of barely used 20s from a 2017 LTZ Silverado.

Guy used the sensors on his new wheels, but luckily I had an extra set of brand new Dorman sensors on the shelf. Discount Tire wanted $140 for the work, so I took them to a local small shop I’ve used before on some of my flip cars and the guy did it for $50. Plus I gave him $10 tip.

And of course the mandatory before and after pics. :D

Very true. I was kind of on the fence with those concave style wheels, but I think they are growing on me.

And SWMBO likes them, so I’m good. :D

mobil 1 oil change and tire rotation at the stealer cause I have to keep my warranty savvy, and I got underneath and did my monthly visual inspection for leaks and stuff, check all the usual suspects bushings, end links, etc. she's looking good, but still bewildered by the "clunk" im getting on a hard acceleration, it's not the motor mounts we just checked them while I was in the service drive, only real suspect is the slip yoke but it only clunks on a hard acceleration from stopped or already moving.

Just one thing that nobody has mentioned,.... check the rear axle bolts,... I had an older K20 with 454ci that did that clunk once in a while, usually on hard accel,.. it turned out to be the axle bolts.
