has anyone figured out how to make the fogs come on automatically with the drl? , pushing a button is not that hard but what the heck if it can be any easier why not

I think this was brought up a while back and someone said it could be done by reprogramming the BCM. Or maybe it was found that this was NOT an option. One way for sure is to have the wire that triggers the DRL relay also trigger the fog relay. You could probably do this with a simple jumper wire in the fuse/relay box under the hood. A diode will be needed so the DRL isn't triggered if you hit the fog light switch.

Yes, thread somewhere. Jumper in fuse box underhood with resistor. @sumo i think has done it

I did the jumper/ diode in my NBS; not sure how on the NNBS but it should be similar.

ya I prefer to not use diodes, I might order some connectors and build a relay so I have them turn on automatically yet be able to still turn them off as well

Yes i did it. You need the diode because it allows current flow one way. Other wise it allow current to flow both ways making the what ever circuit on all times. I tapped into a parking light with a diode so it will feed the drl with lights on

I guess a really simple way would be to run a new set of wires with a relay. Tie the relay to the 12V(on the DRL)

12V to the Switch pole on the relay
12V constant on one pole
Bulb +Red line to the other pole (two lines one for each bulb)
Bulb -Ground to a suitable ground (at each bulb)

Only down side is you can't shut this off(unless you run a line to a switch in the cab.)

There is Probably and easier way...
