mine is still fine but it is the Light weight aluminum hood..Mine still holds itself up at this point at least lol
Never know til you ask.My corrosion warranty is scheduled to expire next month. The frame is pretty rusty from the trucking living most of its life in Wisconsin. I wondering with that warranty will they clean that rust up.

Put the replacement 300amp alternator on, tools make it easy 10 minutes it's already 80deg at 8:30am

Nope. Tubs come up so high they’re about 1/4” from the bottom of the hood. Only place would be in the center of the hood. I’m ok with my prop rod.Any room for two struts- one on each side?
I used struts from an F-body with mounts from a 2000ish Buick Century to lift and support the hood on my S10. I'd pop it then pick it up about 7" and the struts would lift it the rest of the way with strength to spare. I don't know how much heavier, if any, your hood would be than an F-body. But maybe you could use two GMT900 struts?
