If they're the same as Escalade, you can physically mix them however you want. But the shapes wont quite line up right. It's just an appearance issue.

Keep in mind if the lights are LED, they will require resistors at least to avoid hyper flash. It's possible, though I dont know this for sure, that the harnesses use different plugs. I do know the OEM Escalade taillights, which are LED, are not the same plug as Tahoe/Yukon.

Maybe. I would characterize it a little differently. Looks to me like the rear glass is recessed relative to non-hybrid. The spoiler looks similar to an Escalade one in shape, but with a different light. I think GM could have fitted shorter glass struts to prevent the window from contacting the spoiler if they'd wanted to, and that was the only issue. I think they redesigned the hatch with fixed glass, resulting in the recess. Whether for aero, or weight savings, or both, someone decided it was worth losing the functionality of the rear glass to gain those things. I use the rear window a lot. So I'd disagree with their choice.

Well the link you linked to the 2012 tahoe hybrid says the spoiler is extended which is why i mentioned it. But the weight savings of not needing the hinge and latch are also prob part of it.

And as far as the tails, i knew about the escalade ones having different plugs, but the turn signals on the hybrids are also normal incadecent bulbs I think. So im hopeful the harness isnt too different. Will have to go find one in a junk yard somewhere.

I know the NBS are aluminum, are you saying they went back to steel on the NNBS? Mine shows signs of what looks like rust but it’s just aluminum corrosion.
it's steel sheet

Aluminum doesn't contain iron or steel so it doesn't rust

do you have part numbers for the hybrid tail lights and d pillar trim?
the tail lights are 153ea new

22837837
and

22837838

it's 1/2 the price

i suggest buying used if you want i can pick one off a tahoe hybrid in Fresno,ca salvage yard has a hybrid Tahoe sure we can work out a deal to pick the parts off the SUV. i wll be passing by that salvage yard when i take my trip to Washington state (buying a aluminium fender for my suv)

I figured she had 3.73s but looked at my homemade excel calculator to compare and confirm. Mine has the dumb suspension and also hunkers down and feels more stable the faster you go.

Does yours have an aluminum or steel driveshaft? The steel one has a critical speed of 5000 rpms (same as front DS on 4x4) that limits top speed to about 134. The PPVs must use something different as their driveshafts are turning about 5,400 rpms at 139 mph with either transmission.

My max safe speed would be around 122 or so; the propellers' critical speed is 4556 rpms.
the Top speed for the Tahoe hybrid is 147MPH

image being the officer getting laughed at the police station, because his PPV tahoe got out ran by a hybrid... the reduction from 0.36 to 0.34 gives a 10MPH edge
lol

I suggest starting a thread in the hybrid fourm so i can help with the part numbers if you want to do a full hybrid body swap and yes they are LED brake lights... DON't get the caddlic ones they burn out easy

Oh good to know. I'm also looking at the hybrid tail lights because IIRC the brake light "bulbs" were LED weren't they? Do you have to pair the hybrid tails with the hybrid D pillar trim?

Yes I seen a Yukon hybrid 2 days ago oh, for the first time ever, and the tail lights looked similar to Tahoe tail lights, a little different shape with LEDs

I don't know the rhyme or reason, but I do know there's both. I think my 06 is steel. I'll have to check them both when I get home just for fun.

The 06 Hoe takes a magnet, the 03 Denali does NOT. I can definitely feel the difference in weight when opening and closing them side by side.

Fixed glass means No stolen seats or NO broken heater wires(it can still happen though if something hits it)

I’m not gonna do a full body swap- just tails and d pillar trim maybe the spoiler too?
