I finally got one!!

And it's just in time... The L9H is giving me a hesitation/stumble only when it's cold and breathing on the pedal. There's No CEL, but at least now I will be able to see what the O2 sensors and MAF are doing.

So you swapped from the LMG (5.3) to a L9H (6.2)?

How was the swap process? I'm thinking of doing the same in the near future where the prices of L9Hs are pretty reasonable right now.

I would also like to know how much of a bear it is. I want to build a PPV drift missile in the future.

I also summoned the rain gods by a fresh wax, ceramic polish. Also removed the LT badges, painted bowties black and installed the esky shifter

And heres a picture but it looks so good when its all cleaned up

Washed and waxed yesterday. Too bad it rained all night and will continue most of this week. :(

Also changed out the front grill to a gloss-black version (had the usual LT grill before). And last week did gloss black TAHOE emblems.

I had one of those grilles on my Amazon list for a while and never pulled the trigger. I saw yesterday it was no longer available. Did you buy the last one? lol

There's probably another seller with them, though. Your Tahoe looks good!

Appearance and bolting it in should be just like the 5.3. It's dimensionally the same as all the other LS V8s. Off the top of my head, the only differences would be the VVT (if yours is an '07-'09), exhaust pipe diameter and tune. If yours is an '07-'09 and you want VVT, you can get the VVT harness and run it to the PCM and activate it in the tune.

I figured it wouldn’t be too much different. My 07 will keep the 5.3 but I wanna get a 2011/2012 PVV to do a drift build. Aluminum 6.2, a stickshift out of a camaro or something, a big whipple or medium single turbo, and however much of a drop to get the LCAs level with the ground, and then a spindle drop to get desired ride height. I’d do LTZ 20” wheels on the front with wide tires and then hybrid 18” ultralights on the rear with more narrow tires. Lots of money.
