I think I was losing oil pressure through the middle unreplaced gaskets. And the solenoid frame is riveted in place. So after pissing 300 bucks away on useless non-returnable gaskets that refused to match, plus trying to trying out how to install a correct one, if I could find it. I did dissect and cut the keepers on the old one, and punched the rivets out of the casing.

I was thinking, even if I found the right gasket, how do I put it back together? 1/4” nuts and bolts? Although I was tempted, NO. No redneck shit!

Did some more relentless internet searching and found this complete cover assembly. Dropped another 200 bucks minus the 20 percent, online discount of $50 at local Autozone.

And here I am and tired and beat to shit. Physically, mentally and financially on what was supposed to be a medicore preventative oil leak fix.

Anyway she is running great!
This is why I don't like touching anything. Same thing ALWAYS happens to me--seems anyway. Glad you finally got it running.

First road trip since we picked it up. Very enjoyable ride in comparison to our 2003. Kids love the DVD players (except for my niece who gets car sick and almost puked in the back). Needs those rear brakes for sure and maybe the fronts sooner than later. Nice to have the split third row. Dog kennel on one side and kid on the other.

Got home early enough today to mow the lawn and then clean the Burb up again inside and out.
