These are pretty reliable vehicles the only thing they like to do out of the blue is pop heater hose lines if they haven't been changed

What Galante said. I think the factory ones may be metal, similar to what holds a CV joint boot in place, but I don't know for sure. It's secured to the Panhard bar. I used two huge zip-ties I got from an A/C repair man to secure mine.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. I have a few giant zip ties. I'll change out the ones I have for them.

The originals on mine wouldn’t work on my Spohn panhard bar so I used giant zip ties like the others mentioned.

That must be it. I must've cut the original ones off when I put my Spohn panhard bar on.
