Why the smaller backing pad?

Faster correction. Smaller Pads spin faster and machine becomes slightly more powerful due to having to spin less mass. Also and easier to get into places. Large pads tend to get trim pieces and mouldings..... place is you don't want Polish.

So a 5 inch backing pad. I think I'm gonna get one of those. Gg6. I'm tired of using the dewalt and really want to do my truck.

I've got 4" 5" and 6" backing plates with lots of pads...

Sound like you all have problems. Sound like women, I need a small pad for light days, a big pad for heavy days....
