Finished the Cold Case radiator install today. Took some trimming of the mounting brackets and the fan shroud to fit, but it’s all in. Ended up using a little brass threaded fitting as a restrictor in the coolant tank return line. It’s a beautiful radiator, more than twice as thick as the original. Did some full throttle pulls today up to 85, and the engine temp never got above 202° on the OBD2 scanner.

It’ll get a full test this weekend hauling the 6500 lb Alpha Wolf camper over the mountains to the New River gorge in West Virginia.

I’ve been hauling fencing in my 02, about (400) 5/4 x 6 cedar fence boards. Smells like cedar inside now.

once the hoe is done, i need to haul some fence posts and barbed wire to the property.

can't wait!

I also have a 103 year old luger to pew once i get there...
:nolol:

I need to get the hoe done soon.

Drove it back home from New Orleans, 1,415 miles total there and back. Didn't really drive it the week we were there, it just sat in the hotel garage and we either walked everywhere or caught an uber.

Couldn't find any E85, so only 93 octane (Mobil/Exxon) and the average mpg got up to 15.7. Four of us, cargo area full of luggage, cooler in the isle and big box of snacks on the second row left seatback (daughter takes over third row, son sits second row right and we fold down the second row left, behind driver and set snack box on it).

It didn't miss a beat, used cruise control set at 85 mph most of the time. Sometimes would have it at 90 mph. It needs a bath tomorrow, has bugs on the front, windshield, and on the back of the mirrors. Family slept off and on most of the trip. That's how smooth it rode even at those speeds, and it had no problems getting up to speed or passing.

So on another note (more of a pet peeve/rant), why do semi drivers take forever to pass each other? I mean, there will be a few of them in a row in the right lane doing 70 mph, then the last one will be doing like 71 mph and move to the left lane to pass the truck in front of him, but it takes like 10 mins to do it, causing traffic to back up behind him (speed limit is 75 for cars, 70 for trucks through Arkansas). Then, 30 seconds after that truck passes the one in front of him and gets over to the right, the one behind him, which he just passed, puts on his signal and starts to do the process over!! It's like they leapfrog!!

Looks good but IMO the rocker covers would look good in a contrasting color. I did mine in VHT red crinkle and they look great, along with a few other red pieces under the hood. I think you should choose a contrasting color and plan on a few parts in that color under the hood.

Edit: ICT Billet sells those coil brackets pretty cheap.

I’ve been fiddling with rear door locks since I discovered the hubs for my trailer project were the wrong ones.

thecopcar had the manual lock rods, but they’re in the way of a door card project. I was able to figure out how to get the lock out and remove those easily. The clip to release the exterior handle rod was straightforward. First pic, the orange square in the lower corner.

on theothertwin, however I’m dead in the water. The clip is a different design, and none of the university of YouTube videos show that one, or how to release it. Second pic. All I need to do is swap in the manual lock rods.
