Changed out both upper control arms... had a bad upper ball join on the passenger side. Need to get an alignment this week...

Meant to post my dyno results earlier this week, but have been a bit under the weather.

08 Tahoe 5.3 LMG (Flex Fuel)
-109K (Lots of new parts, gaskets, seals)
-Shell 93 Octane
- Camshaft Upgrade
270 INT 274 EXT Dur @ 50 218 222 LSA: 112 Lift: .598 .601
-Factory Intake
-Pacesetter Long Tubes
-3" Exhaust
-Borla ProXS Muffler
-AFM/VVT delete

294HP 290 TQ

I wish I had put an intake on prior to dyno, probably would have broke the 300 HP mark. I'll leave that to the next owner. Putting her up for sale shortly.

You can definitely feel and appreciate the extra power, especially through the midrange. Very usable on the highway. The car feels much more alive and fun to drive. 500 miles of driving and not burning oil!!! So that's a victory if nothing else. Also, average 19 MPG on the freeway. I'm happy with the result.

As soon as it warms up today, I'll finish replacing the rest of the worn interior pieces.

David,
Do you have any results from before the tune to compare it with?

I had mine road and dyno tuned. If I remember correctly, it didn't gain very much.
Let me go see if I can find it, its in here somewhere.

Unfortunately I wasn't bright enough to foresee this kinda failure coming when I first bought my Hoe :)emotions122: on my end) ...so I dont have a baseline to go off of. From all my research, the typical 5.3 stock wheel horsepower is 230-240.

I'm very happy with the results and would recommend anyone going this route if you run into lifter failure and are looking for a cost effective power upgrade when fixing it.

:chewie: <------ Me first time at WOT after the dyno session.

Haha, I hear yah.
I'm planning on deleting my DOD, not sure when though. May be this summer.

Found it.
Now this was my second tune. Not really sure what the first shop did, if anything. Going through it with the second shop, he was saying not much was changed besides my DOD being disabled.
I wish I had the same reaction after mine was done, hah. Its a completely different truck, sucks to drive. I'm going to another shop at the end of the month to hopefully clear this mess up.
