Speaking of **** ri, errr, spring clamps, what tool do recommend for them? I've never had an issue in the past but when I did the avalanche, they were frustrating. Either hook open on not open enough because the stupid lock thing
I just have these 2 generic spring clamp pliers, don’t even think they’re branded. Amazon specials but they work great. They ratchet to hold the clamp open.

I've been listening to the sound of a dry bearing when the A/C compressor is OFF the last few days. It goes quiet when the compressor clutch engages. Began on cold starts only but it's ramping up to be slight but always there now.

So I'm asking myself what's the chances it's:

1. the old dried out belt I haven't changed yet. $
2. a sympathetic squeak from a failing idler. $$
3. the compressor clutch. $$$

I'm placing my bets on door number 3.

Right down the middle on this one. Turned out to be the idler. Of course while I was in there I replaced the belt.

I’ll count this one as a win.

I just bought a set, I normally am able to just use channel locks but what the hell may as well make life easier lol
You’ll be wondering why you didn’t buy some earlier. It’s a game changer. Not only do they stay open until you release the lever but now you have a handle attached to the clamp so you can position it exactly how you want.
