My leaf blower is a poulan pro yellow thing
scored it as a return for $55 shipped iirc.

$8 for the special carb tool and some tinkering, and it's been great ever since.
back then i could get that stuff like crazy via ebay.
stuff that they confirmed ran was "Refurbished"

other stuff "parts not working"
scored a bush trimmer for $25 bucks
just needed a carb kit @ $10
something was funky with the diaphragm.
And i have like 3 bushes, they are little.
meh, $35! :D

since the poulan pro stuff sucked out of the box and was mostly sold at places like walmart.

If you see my little shelf, it's all poulan pro stuff. and it was all dirt cheap! :D

Heck, when i tossed a top end kit at my chainsaw.
I realized i only paid $120 for it (50 cc model).
I thought pretty seriously about buying another refurbished one vs rebuilding it...

I have too much fun with this stuff. :chewie:

This is what happens when you sit behind a computer all day, and cruise ebay and amazon when it's slow.
lol
I picked up a Murray 22" two stage self propelled snow blower for free about 10 years ago. The guy didn't use it anymore, both tires were flat, and fuel leaked out of the carb when gas was put in it. I pulled the bowl off the carb and found the brass float had a small hole in it, so it would fill with fuel and not float and shut off the fuel flow into the carb causing it to leak out the overflow port. I replaced the float for $8 and put tubes in the tires and have been using it every year since. I do both of my elderly neighbors driveways along with mine, which are about 100-120' long. It has a 5hp B&S motor that always starts on the first pull.

Just ordered my circle d converter.
did some thinking, went with a low stall double disk converter.
decided gas mileage and to keep the temps down.

+ i went with the 6.0...

Now i get to question my decision... lol

I just wish they had more options, 2200 - 2400rpm would be awesome

I took over my dads old 2 stage snow blower.
while getting parts for it, found out he bought it from kmart. :anitoof:
tecumseh engine

Found out they went out of business a little while back while i was trying to freshen up the engine...
nice little snow blower, starts easy.
has an electric start if i get lazy.

like all things, it just needed a carb cleaning from being neglected.
