Tire height?

Not Shure how much those tires are but you cannot go wrong with bridgestones for the best ride and life span. They also look cool.

Will 285 give me enough side wall so it doesn't look like I'm on rubber bands?

285 is width of tire. Doesn't tell u how big the sidewall is. Usually about a 45 sidewall with that size.

Isn't the second number percentage a percentage of the width, then multiplied by 2 and added to the wheel size?

It's 285/45/22. I have looked at some many tahoes/yukons with 22s and with a 2/3 drop like I see most have I think it will be perfect

Ummm... Wha...? Nope.

The second number is the height of the sidewall as a percentage from the width of the tire.
