Guess I get the fun project of replacing the pressure sender. Yaay

Should I look for a specific brand or just any from the parts store?
I was just watching a video on replacing the sender with a socket and wobble socket, there is also a lisle socket for it I believe as well, the guy did it in like 5 minutes, I think I saved it

So should I replace the screen that's under the pressure switch or just remove it? Why is it there?
I think it is put there to keep the sensor from getting clogged, some people replace it, some people take it out.
if it's not that hard I would probably just replace it, just do like the guy does in the video.

I removed my screen, but I also don't have the AFM system any more, and don't know if it is necessary if you still have AFM to protect the lifters of AFM system somehow.

I replaced the sensor and the screen the first time. The screen clogged up a second time and I didn't put it back in. I had DOD shut off in the tune though. I'm not sure why its there but I'm betting there's a million of them on the road without one.

To me that’s indicative of a sludge problem in the engine when a screen in the pressurized oil gallery is clogging. The more I read about failures in these engines my opinion continues to shift toward dirty oil being the root cause, not DOD per se. I suspect GM set the oil change intervals too long. Of course if there’s a failure beyond the warranty, and they sell a new car, is that really a failure? Or planned obsolescence.
