He's gotta be hot with that fur coat on.
Meh. I have read that short haired dogs have it worse, the heat goes directly through their skin. His coat is like insulation, protecting him from extremes. He really doesn’t seem to get any hotter than other dogs at the park, I dunno.

I had a Husky when I was a kid, and when she'd shed in the summer it would literally look like huge cotton balls. She rarely ever barked, which I didn't know is a common trait.

Yah. I hate spiders too. Been a phobia since I was a kid living in a basement bedroom in PA. I found spiders in my bedroom big enough to wrestle a puma.
About 8 years ago I kept getting bit on my arms in my sleep. No matter what I did I tore that whole room and bed apart cleaning, pulled the carpet out. I finally found that ****** buried inside the headboard of the bed. It's a bookshelf type of headboard. pIssed me off!
