I definitely watch consumption and how dark it is getting. I had that TSB work done where GM paid for new pistons and rings (consuming like qt every 1K). Now it stays pretty clean, relatively speaking, between changes every 5K in non-Covid times, about every six months last year.

Do you have a catch can?
I don't. Not yet anyway. Unfortunately because of this kommy state, some smog inspectors won't pass you with a catch can even when you are just intercepting the PCV hose and still running it back to the intake like factory.

I've never seen smoke, smelled oil, the plugs always look clean, and even the throttle body stays pretty clean. I've only cleaned it once in 50,000 miles that I've owned it, and I doubt if it got cleaned before then.

The one I got, I just bypassed the OE plastic line. It would be super simple to pop that plastic hard line between the PCV and the intake back in, get smogged and put the can back in, maybe 5 minutes. :)

Also today. I thought my fog lights were not working so I bought new ones, only to figure out that I was pushing the wrong button. They do work! But at least now I have spares. (LEDs, may swap them in anyway)
Darn tricky newfangled contraptions and their fancy eletronicals!

Glad it was easily fixed.
I actually had a similar situation with my interior lights when I first got mine. Didn't know there was a button to turn them off, actually spent the first couple months without them and just used the aftermarket dome light when I needed it which wasn't very often anyway. Lol

Going from a PPV to a LT has been quite the learning experience.
