You're not the first and won't be the last!

Piston side isn't outward. When you flip it over to mount it to the other side, it'll make sense. You might even hear the harmonious angels "Ahhhhhhh."

Oh- DON'T push the pedal to the floor. If flipping the calipers doesn't completely resolve your bleeding woes, you might need a new master cylinder if you've been flooring the pedal while fighting the brakes all this time.
I literally had to draw it out on my white board to visualize the swap lol...and a big part of my career is virtual spatial awareness and optimization hahaha.

Oh well, learn and move on. I'm sure there's a master cylinder and possible abs lesson coming up too

PO installed a Pioneer unit with Nav and Bluetooth in the hoemare.
I love it.

Wife wants one for her car.
So, she got a subscription to XM radio while she waits for me to sort the hoemare.
Sirius XM also has an app for your phone that works with Apple Carplay (and probably Android Auto) so you could install the sat receiver or not. My daughter's car has a receiver which she uses and I maintain the Sirius XM subscription for that, but I listen to BBC, Fox News, or Willy's Roadhouse in whatever car I am in which don't have a Sirius XM receiver.

I drove 447 miles to Cleveland and back for a funeral. Often driving 80-85 MPH. The DIC calculated 15.1 Avg MPG, but my true average was 16.8 MPG. 447 Miles burned 26.6 Gallons. Four people in the car and luggage.
Average outside temperature was 24-28 F. The trans temp averaged 113F which I think is too low? My Explorer had an internal trans thermostat and I think it would have stayed 155-160F.

Should be it. I highly recommend the Tekonsha P3, it's an excellent brake controller.

Have you watched the installation videos on eTrailer? Go on the site and enter your year, make, and model, then select the Brake Controller category. Scroll way down to the bottom where the installation videos are and have at it.

I am guessing this is the etrailer site you referenced ?

I will save it and look it over for info / the install videos.

thank you sir

Fixed the cooling temp indication/engine hot message problem this morning. It was the sensor. Put a new one in and drove it for a mile with the gauge still not moving + engine hot message on the display and cooling fans running full speed. As the engine warmed up, the new sensor must have crossed a point where the computer decided it could trust it again, and everything returned to normal. The gauge shot up to about 1/3 on the scale, and continued indicating normally from there. The message went away and the fans shut off. Boom! I love easy fixes.
Where is the sensor located?

Wife really enjoys the subscription, and the more I use her car the more I like it.
I do have the app setup on my phone, but I like how actual XM works when there is no service.

One of the main reasons for the Tahoe was for my outdoor activities.
And being in a mountain state, cell service is spotty at best.

Usually, I just rely on Amazon Offline music, just ensuring that I refresh the licenses and stuff before i head out.
One time not doing that bit me right in the butt. :jester:
One quiet drive, and no CD's on hand.

My radio is supposed to be XM ready, but it requires an extra module.
