How long have you had that Camco? That’s a nice design.
I’m running an older but similar setup for towing our horse trailer. I have the reese weight distribution w/ sway control. Both companies have some fancy new ones that I recently priced out at double what I originally paid for mine. I ended up adding a longer shank for one of the trailers, since it sits lower than my enclosed work trailer does.

Got the new summer tires installed.. P275/60R20 Nokian Rotiiva ATs. The old BFG K02s still had decent tread, but were age-unknown, loud, and starting to weather-crack. I'll throw them up on Cracklist and/or Faceballs for $200 obro, and see if anyone wants them.

Yeah, I saw those when I did my 6l80
when a transmission gets really nasty, trash gets trapped behind that plate.
Sonnax advertises it as just a like oem replacement, but you have to destroy it to get it off.
It sure is pretty all reinstalled on the back of the planet.

he also needs to stop aligning that hole in the back of the case with the hole in the bushing.
Lube pressure feed comes from inside of the output shaft.
OEM that hole is offset away from that hole/pass through in the case.
My research showed that Lube should bleed out the sides of the bushing, then the pass through is so the seal/shaft can be lubricated and then pass back through into the case.

Him lining that thing up allows pressurized oil to escape from the middle of the bearing surface.

(There are a few youtube videos out there covering the rear case bushing in the 6l80/90)

He has a bushing install video that really made me scratch my head on that subject.
Me detailing the exact position of each bushing, including where the dimples and spirals sit.
I coped the original position exactly on each bushing. :cool:

That said, I'm just a guy that has done a total of "1" of these.
but i also researched the fk out of it.
Richard has all sorts of good info, and I've seen him reply to questions, I may ask him about the alignment of the hole you have mentioned. When I get my 6L80 done, I would like to have the definitive answer to this.

"Cash only" because I know someone will want to trade some ****** (apparently you can't type "hairoin")or fentanyl for them. Shit is so common around here.

Although I should have said I would trade for pressure-treated deck boards.

About 18 months. It's been 100% trouble-free and easy to use. What I like most about it is that the bars don't hang down like they do on most designs. They're parallel with the A-frame arms. It was also relatively inexpensive compared with other designs. I did have a problem with it initially though; one of the bar mounts that clamps around the A-frame bars had a hole that wasn't countersunk like it was supposed to be. I sent an email to tech support with a picture and they had a new one in my hands in 2 days. Terrific support.

I'll try and find the references later on.
But what i had found was the hole in the bushing was just a legacy thing.

The designers of the 6l80 never intended the hole to line up with the pass through.
And it should be clocked away from the hole.

Older designs had lube feed coming from the case, so it was important that they line those up.

I suspect that the case bushings are more of a universal design vs anything else.
And the bushing probably fits another transmission or 3.

Hence the legacy hole.

I never found an official reference about the hole, but i did see there was a mark on the case for that pass through location under the rear seal.

Seems to me that the location was "flagged" so the hole does not line up.

Another builder noted that he has seen the hole all over the place, clocked in all sorts of directions, but never lined up with the case pass through.

My final thoughts was why change it?
My transmission survived 180k and it was still kicking.

The bushing was fine and i could have kept using it.

But i opted to just replace all of them while i was in there.

But this took me a long time to find enough information on where i finally opted to just copy what oem did for all of the bushings.

Everything clocked exactly where it was.
