Not to get too personal but, my rear is leaking.

What diff cover gasket are you guys using? ACDelco, Felpro or ?
When I did the 14 bolt swap, I used a felpro, and it split and leaked. Changed it out for a lube locker and it too seems to be leaking now. Wondering if my "used rear end" just has a bad diff cover to start causing my leaking issues.

All that said, when I was still running the 10 bolts, factory gasket worked great for over 100,000 miles, reused and everything.

Lube Locker is the only company to make a reusable 14-bolt 9.5" cover gasket:

Been adding some lights over the last few weeks. Small light bar in front, surface mounted to top of bumper. Then in back I first did two flush mounts inside the bumper - they shine out from center quite a bit so I added a third surface mount just to the right of the receiver. Switch mounted to lower dash panel below the headlight switch. Everything is NiLight brand, including wiring kits with relays. Out of box quality seems pretty good and good prices on Amazon. 88B66C62-88D7-44BB-9922-D50E7A6222F3.jpeg

At the risk of driving this deeper into your personal hole, is it leaking from where the shaft goes in or from the crack?

Oh, OEM only. You’re taking your life in your hands playing the field (of suppliers) these days.
I would hate for it to go deeper but I did just have my annual physical and unfortunately due to my age, well, I'll just leave it at that :)

I was thinking OEM.

the oem one should be fine, it is or should be rubber I would also just get a new cover if it has started leaking. torque and bolt it properly.
I'll look for a new cover but what about cleaning up the OE cover?

Lubelocker

Imodium - that stops up all rears! :sunot:
:)
I used a LubeLocker when I changed out the fluid and cover last year.

Never looked into lube locker, I'll check them out but I think I'll end up going with an OE

Appreciate the help fellas
