waze is something interesting to play with on road trips. more so as a driver. it's kinda annoying that someone marks every road side tire tread laying around.

cop thing is nice sometimes, but mostly they have moved by the time I get in the area and it has me slowing down when I'm not even speeding enough for a ticket in the first place.

might be cause I've gotten old, my road trips I just leave a few hours early, or the night before so I can drive when theirs no traffic and I'm not in any rush. so I stop and go as I feel like it. trying to beat the time on the GPS is long gone for me haha.

Waze is google. It's also always active when installed. deal breaker for me.
if you have a smart phone either android or apple your screwed anyway, they made that law years (decades) ago when they made the telecommunications companys change the way the cell antenna's work, you can be pinpointed 24/7 if your phone is even turned on, they can listen in and do pretty much anything they want to do. all they have to do is convince a judge to sign off on it.
I listen to them getting locations on 911 callers all day long on my scanner, and if there is a active call like someone being taken against there will they are allowed to trace it in real time no judge needed.
how do you think they new kohberger was up to no good? all they had to do was do a little digging, all this type of data is kept on the cell phone providers server hard drive
if you are going to do something wear a mask and gloves or even a full chem suit, drive a old (disposable) vehicle with no plates or plates from somewhere not by you, cash only. no electronic devices or debit credit cards. otherwise your screwed

I mean it's a good thing to have on. you never know if there's actually something in the middle of the road in the middle of the night. I guess my annoying isn't with waze but with people marking things that aren't actually in the road for an observation.

maybe thru need a oh, I saw something 10 feet to the left of the lane to watch out for button lol and a oh shit there's a huge stone in the middle of the road button.

google knows jack very well lol, you would have to avoid a whole bunch of things to avoid google
even if you completely opted out of everything that you have an option to, they still have a record of everything
you could have no phone and no internet and if a camera scans your license plate google will have a record a of it all these little services the government, cities & business subscribe to are uploaded to the cloud, be it apple, google, amazon, or whoever.
amazon in particular has huge huge huge cloud servers, so do all the major carriers
amazon though has major contracts with the government and big companies for cloud services
