I just wouldn't trust the same brand of converter after that.. Why are our cats so expensive? Now I'm scared!

I once had an MR2 that did not pass smog, turned out the aftermarket converter the PO installed had only 1" thick of honeycomb. Swapped it out and it passed no problem.
they said these magnaflow one's I have are no longer allowed in ca but are ok because they are grandfathered in, the one on the other side is fine, they are replacing the broken one with a catco, a new magnaflow has doubled in price. apparently they pulled the c.a.r.b. certification, just a money grab.

the cat's have to be carb certified for the year/make/model vehicle, you can't just throw anything on it. If you get caught then you can't register it until it is fixed correctly, if a shop gets caught installing or modifying they can get both fined and loose there license.

How much? $
Not sure last time he gave me a deal and said they normally charge more for the size and I think it was like $30 or so for both, this shop does mostly semi truck equipment, tractors and stuff like that. they have a small machine shop for brakes and hydraulic lines and etc. most places do not turn rotors anymore.

made some dashboard band-aids..
2E5A7082-8BE6-4F45-8E94-C48263CE9C2C.jpeg
these went underneath of course (removed cluster and glovebox/airbag.. )

how long will it last? I didn't really prep the surface other than an alchohol wipe..

would change the dash, but after investing that kind of money i would want to fiberglass the bottom and vinyl wrap the top.

if the bandaids break, i see a dashcap in my future.. I know some of you hate them, but i dont like fuzzy things on the dash...
