You need a heat gun to pry it loose or some fishing line. It's stuck on with some tough adhesive. I used a heat gun and a razor blade then finished it off with some goo gone.

I used 20lb fishing line to pull it off and then cleaned the adhesive off with a 3M eraser wheel on my dewalt

Good advice from above. Take the damn "handle" off the glass. Mine popped right off, then cleaned up with a razor blade. 2 min job. I always assumed there were holes behind it.
