What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

This is gonna sound dumb but i dont give a ****....When you say machine polish are you using an actual machine/buffer or doing it by hand. I am always skeptical when it comes to putting a buffer or something gritty on my paint, ive seen it a done million times, I understand how it works but im just f'in scared....lol

And on the steam cleaning.....i dont know if you've done it before but id be careful doing that to the headliner....you know how they always used to fall, foam separating from backing and material....i would think all that heat/water would break it down faster causing 'premature droop'.....

Always liked red but black is my goto color....i shocked myself when i had my buddy spray my bike gray....lol

I use a random orbital buffer from groits , I very rarely wax or polish by hand unless it's just a maintenance wax job.

I used to work auto body and detailing shop when I was in high school so things like this don't scare me at all as I've cut and buffed paint on anything from corvettes to Ferrari's. It's all about technique and knowing your pads and wax/polishes/abrasives.

For steam cleaning, I've done it a thousand times on vehicles. The older glues and adhesives were a problem, the headliners now of days really isn't for applying heat and causing sagging with the setting and machine that I use.

Hopefully she'll be lowered soon, just need to get a few more things and have a weekend off to actually do it. I've had a lot of neigh sayers about me "De-Z71'ing" my Suburban but in the end it's mine and I'll build it to my liking

This may be true with the stock muffler but I guarantee you that it tones it down with the Lil short straight through design muffler that now resides under the Burb... Lol

This is pretty much identical to the one on there now...View attachment 78030
It is a single baffle flow through design I guess it might be considered a 2 chamber muffler but there is no fiberglass to quieten it down.

I can't speak for whatever muffler you're running. I'm currently running a Magnaflow 12859 and the resonator did nothing on or off

That's right end of the day it is your truck. You started to get it ready to go down, then stopped as someone said no to the Z71 going down and now you look to be well on your way. Look forward to it. Would like to see my Suburban down a few inches too....

Same here darosea i still work at detailing at a chevy dealer. I do it all day so i dont want to do my own tahoe haha.

Just dont use a wool pad unless you have experience with buffing you can really mess things up.

I like the sound of this! At one time you were sticking to your guns on staying stock with this one but look at you talking about going lower

again....taking off the resonator and putting on the SLP kit makes 0 difference in how your vehicle will sound. I know there's a myth out there that it does but it 100% does not
