I would very much like to get to 400 horse in mine but I also want to do it on 87 or 89 octane. Will see what happens with an afm delete. I’m probably delusional.
When the time comes its gonna be the delete kit, new rings, decked and mild ported heads, port the intake and exhaust manifolds, and tune it. I know that wont get it to 400. But hopefully closer.
It will certainly make more power with those mods. I have dreams of wet sleeves with a larger bore and stroker cranks but the price and performance of a stock L9H crate motor makes such grand designs hard to justify. 403 horses stock! I'm at 307 RWHP now and figure a mild cam, heads and exhaust would bring it to 350, hardly worth the effort compared to the L9H.
