There's no real "right" or "wrong" as long as it's all fully secure. They probably make that side exit pipe a little long so people can cut it down if they want the tip less exposed. You can always cut it shorter, but extending is a lot more involved.

If you want it more tucked, remove the tip and trim that pipe however much you wanna bring it in. If no power tools, a hack saw will do.

This is assuming you have the tip slid on as far as it'll go.

I was hoping to say I changed the cabin air filter, but today I learned the NNBS did not actually come with a cabin filter from the factory. While there is a retrofit, it's more involved than simply changing a filter.

RockAuto happily sold me a $26 carbon filter though...

Part everything I order to fix up my 07. Subs , amp new rear lowering springs. New range led lights and new wheel bearing bolts and in truck have new spindles. Waiting on full front end rebuild kit and shocks come in later.

Is the retrofit door itself available separately? It's not a difficult job to perform. Or, get the whole retrofit kit and you'll have a replacement filter on hand already.

I bit the bullet and ordered new engine and trans mounts. Driver side broke a couple of months ago, thanks to Black Bear and my right foot.

I'm going to take a crack at installing myself. Wish me luck.

Vendor (GetOEMParts) emailed me. Parts on national backorder. Order canceled. GRRR...

Ordered from another vendor (GM Parts Center). These parts vendors drive me crazy. Why must I wait 2 days to find out it's out of stock? It can't be that hard to tie their MRP system into their website. Lot's of other industries do it. The good news is that even though their parts were more expensive, their shipping fee more than offset it. So I saved a couple of bucks...IF THEY HAVE THE PARTS.

Have any of you put subs in while leaving the stock head unit and door speakers? I know its the less preferred way to do it- but i kind of want to pull the subs out of my old truck and put them in the back. I know you need a LOC to do this- what one and where does it need to go to do this?

It looks fine to me. If anything rotate it a smidge so they face more down instead of straight out the side. Maybe that will help with the visual.
