I like the Avalanche. I almost bought one. I wanted a '13 only Black Diamond edition because the plastic was painted body color. In my opinion they should have all come that way. I liked the idea of being able to carry sheet goods, and having a built-in bed cover.Yeah I wasn't expecting those responses either lol.
I’ve hauled tons of sheet goods in my 02 Denali. Plywood, Sheetrock, you name it. Mines a short wheelbase so the 8’ sheets hang out the back a bit but I just bungee the hatch down. Long wheelbase, you can close the hatch and haul 4’ x 8’ sheets with the hatch closed so even in the rain you can haul Sheetrock. It fits between the wheel wells. But once I drove a Yukon, I found I preferred the shorter wheelbase. And finding a 6.2L Avalanche (or the Caddy version) was nearly impossible. The final nail in the coffin was that both Avalanches I test drove had leaks around the rear window.
But those side pockets can be used as a beer cooler....check. mateIt's that plastic crap going down to the bed.
It's like someone took a burb/xl/esv and cut the roof line behind the rear doors, then used cheap plastic trim to cover the edges of the cuts. And let's not forget the 2' of roof rack you get, lol

I’ll second the recommendation. My lower bar had the footstep, why to close to the bumper but, and water got in there front the plastic step. Go Rhino has a warranty on their stuff email them they will replace it free of charge. It took a few weeks to get it but it’s in the garage waiting installation this weekend. On the Go Rhino I recommend drilling drainage holes in the lower cross bar to let the water to drain out. Also grind some drain notches in the ends of the tubes because they are capped concavely and hold water there as well. If not rust streaks start to run out of the mounting bolts and streaking down the side plates and looks like ****. Just a heads up. I have not had an issue with the top tube yet.
Same here in the commonwealth of Pensyltucky! They only give us a rear plate in Oklahoma.(Cheap bastards)
Better looking that the Pontiac Aztecs!Avalanches are ugly also
