I went with the no rivets on the oil pan install, wasn't hard to keep centered.
I also for some reason felt like the rivets could get in the way, but I'm sure it's away from the sealing surface anyways.

They don’t. You think if they did, the factory would use them? You’re killin me man! Just look at them. They’re recessed.

Edit: also a note- if you’re 2WD I’m sure it’s easier, or if you pull the front diff. I just had mine drooping so it’s hard to wiggle the pan in place and not have the gasket hit on something and fall off so the pop rivets worked awesome for me.

I got the oil pan on, front axle installed and torqued in, and the crossmember installed!

The silly ARP balancer bolt kept backing out on me while working the crank, so I'm reinstalling the balancer.
I'm tempted to toss a stock bolt back in there...

And I have been fumbling around trying to figure out how/where the heck I'm going to route the oil pressure gauge feed tube.
They sure didn't give me much to work with...

So, I ordered another gauge for the cooler line reading, and some longer tubing...
I'm not expecting the thrust bearing to last, so I'm hoping I can at least get some real pressure readings for line and cooler lines for all of my effort. :(

Ever look at a project you're doing and do a little self-reflecting? :jester:

Must see installed.

And I think they look cool, even if not color matched... :)
Thanks, I think they’re different in a good way. I didn’t want any chrome, and I didn’t want to take the easy (expected, common, lazy, boring) way out of just blacking them out. I like the contrast, and I think the factory “tubes” look pretty cool, so the white really highlights them
