What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Pretty sure Depo makes them for the NNBS Tahoes, they’re good quality unlike the unknown brands like that. I know they make the ones for the Silverado’s because those are what I used for my retrofits. 3 years so far and they’re still clear. I didn’t want to waste all the time I was putting unto them unless I was sure they would last. You should look into it. They’re an OEM supplier for some vehicles but they can be bought for a decent price.

I found some on eBay. I’m not trusting Amazon for this stuff right now.

It’s the same sellers on both platforms. You just need to read reviews if it’s a third party on Amazon or buy from Amazon directly. If it’s eBay they’re all third party of course so you need to read reviews there too. Everybody blames Amazon when it’s just a platform like eBay is, when it comes to third party stuff. It’s up to the buyer to check out who they’re actually buying from. The biggest difference is Amazon backs up the third party stuff just like they do for the stuff they sell themselves so you don’t need to deal with anyone else if you want a return or refund. I bought a carport cover that was advertised as Abba Patio and it failed within 8-9 months, it came apart at the seams. It was from a third party and there was no warranty but when I called Amazon they refunded me after I explained the issue. I went back and read reviews after the fact. If I had done that before buying it, I would have known it was garbage. That seller was eventually kicked off Amazon shortly after I got that refund.

Those are definitely reproductions. Probably either from Factory Reproductions or some other rep company. There are several out there.

They were put on by the previous owner. They must be of reasonable quality as they are TuV/E marked (I bought the Yukon in Germany) and only decently constructed car parts will meet the TuV requirements.

They are not plastidipped.

Yeah, I'm sure they are high quality. There's nothing wrong with reps at all. There are some very nicely done reproduction wheel companies out there. I've bought a couple of sets from Factory Reproductions over the years and have been happy with them.

Does the steering column firewall seal have a bearing in it or is it just rubber with like a Teflon ring in it?

I started getting a slight squishy/squeely noise when turning the wheel. It's hardly audible and sounds like from under the dash or just on other side of firewall.

I may try spraying some lubricant in it and see if it changes anything.

Hope it's not the steering rack

Spray some Teflon spray in there. No bearing just a seal
