According to Diode Dynamics:

* fog = 80°x8°

* driving = 18°x8°

* spot = 6° cone
maybe they added a lens, I have had mine for a few years now, when i ordered mine they were a new-ish product from them, then I saw they added a option for a amber ghost ring or something, haven't looked in a while.

All of the SS3s and SS5s have an amber backlight now (which is amber whether you have an amber or clear lens). I haven't connected this circuit (dunno if I will).

that's nice they have different lens, I didn't know that. I also did these years ago.

but I like having both. low helps a ton in normal driving and being down low they don't blind people and put out nice light, where the head lights have to be angled down to avoid blinding people. high they throw well down the road. I'm a bit of a headlight nerd and like opening hosing and retro fitting. so I didn't look much into them back then. these are impressively bright thou.

I have little over a $1k in projectors in my C6 housing, 4 bi led, 2 dedicated spot projectors for high and while with all 6 projectors on high vs only 4 total here, that car does have a more output but it needs it for fast mountain night runs, the yukon is not bad at all and never goes fast enough to over drive it's lights. I'm happy with it as it is. I don't think I'd change it up at this point. I wish I'd have got some video of testing these out on a small m12 battery. they put better better light than I expected.

I definitely agree thou, anything you can do to cast light out the sides down low is a worth while mod. back in the sport bike days we always talking about adding some side lights to the forks aimed outward. never did it but looks like they have much better mounts these days. probably would do it if I still rode enough.

learned something new, I was not aware the blower motors are the same design as the gmt800's figured they were different and the gmt900's may come with a bosch (oem) p/n:52408152 instead of the HS or KS brand
which looks like a slightly better motor/fan, better self-cooling, fan scoop is slightly different and the bosch weighs 6oz more. I assume they changed manufactures to pinch pennys in typical gm fashion.
