My mirrors are adjusted as I was taught in commercial driver's school.

We will have to agree to disagree with this one.
You drove your rigs adjusted that way for specific rational purposes, not because it made you feel good to see the side of your vehicle or because Grandpa told you to do that. We're really talking about different contexts, not disagreeing.

I need to do some googling.
what I used to do years ago with different vehicles and had some particular annoying lights behind me is i would just adjust the mirror up a hair, just enough to get rid of the glare and then if I needed to see out the mirror I could just sit up in my seat for a second to look. That was always my best solution.

I have had a CDL for about 3 decades.
I adjust my mirrors on my cars like I do when I was operating a rig for years.
The biggest issue these days is manufacturers are making their headlights brighter and aiming them higher.
I absolutely hate convex side mirrors, if I could, I would replace every convex right side mirrors on my vehicles with a flat mirror and a spot mirror.
My mirrors are not so I 'know' where my vehicle is at but so I know where everything is at around my vehicle and so I can effectively back up, with and without a trailer.
Mirrors adjusted as you suggest would be useless with a trailer. When towing you should be able to see a sliver of your trailer and check your trailer every few minutes.

My mirrors are adjusted as I was taught in commercial driver's school.

We will have to agree to disagree with this one.
I may have miss-wrote a bit.... But I meant to describe the rear view, as you did.. " a sliver of the trailer".....
Same as I wrote, " A tiny bit of the sides"..... The trailer also..... ( I just talked without a trailer )

It’s the same for me except to angle them out a bit more. Then I just lean forward a bit.

I have a flat passenger mirror (glass only) you can have if you want it!
I tried it, felt too narrow of a view. (didn't have a spot mirror)

I like the mirror showing a little of the body side, for backing up when close to things..

I do the lean forward too
I do the lean forward to check my blind spot when changing lanes.
Habit from not being able to see out of the rear of a vehicle.
I also always check my mirrors near the apex of a turn, out of habit from pulling a trailer.
On a left turn I check my right mirror just as I enter the lane.
Again, habit to see if someone had tried to sneak around me.

Went for a couple of drives longest was today.
Yesterday it wouldn't lock up going but did coming back. Stopped and had them pull the code and the only one that came up was P0700. Had them clear it and it seemed to be doing fine but it was definitely locking up at random and at some points not at all.
Today, drove 45 minutes and it would lock and unlock again at random. Drive home it locked up then randomly unlocked and threw a CEL. Pulled it again and it was P0700 and P0741.
Even after changing the filter and TCC solenoid, it didn't do anything.
I called my mechanic, and he recommended a transmission shop. He'll be calling me tomorrow to see if he was able to find a reman. Kinda sucks, was hoping to get more out of this one. I also have a billet stall but he wont reuse it because it will void any warranty for the reman so, I need a new converter. Which I'd send mine to get it serviced but they're out 2 to 3 weeks.
Yay
Sorry to rant

Hey, I just registered here but am having the same issue with my 19 Yukon. Did swapping a new trans fix the issue? I took mine to the local GM dealer and they said they done see any problems with the trans other than the code showing. I've been looking over @NickTransmissions thread on these as well

Freeway way on ramp...... entering at a good pace..... to match the speed of traffic...... turn signal on....

In cars, I 'lean into' the driver's mirror..... keeping my 'view' ahead, but with a glance behind me, with a little larger view. ( Is there a moron coming up at 95 mph, or someone changing lanes ).
This procedure is what we trained the Highway Patrol.

Around town..... Making a right - lane change...... I ALWAYS LOOK QUICKLY TO MY RIGHT, behind my right, sometimes twice.
Those moronic drivers that make a sudden pass / speed up, into a "hole"..... For an or-gaz-mic advance of 35 feet.
