Starting swapping out the stock headers for some Gibson headers. Was making great progress on the passenger side while my buddy worked on the drivers side. No matter what we tried we could not get the 3 bolts that connect the header to the cat loose on the drivers side. We tried several different tools and even heated them up with a torch and nothing.... Called an exhaust shop and asked if they could squeeze me in just to break these 3 bolts loose.

Drive to the exhaust shop and leave them the truck. Come back 2 hours later and they are putting a torch to the bolts/nuts. They got 1/3 loose. Said give them another 1.5 hours. By this time it's 3:30pm. I asked them at this point how much they'd charge just to do the whole damn swap? Guy comes back with $430. I got him down to $360 which is still probably a bit high but I said F it just get it done. So left my truck there and I'll pick it up Monday.

Forgot to mention the reason they said they needed another 1.5 hours was because the nuts were fully seized and they were going to have to cut them out. The guy said in all his years doing exhaust work he'd never seen nuts seized up that badly.

I eagerly await your thoughts on the headers. I am debating on getting them or waiting until after the supercharger...

I did arh before the supercharger. I can't say that without boost they did a ton, but it was noticeable. I did them before the sc to shorten the install time as doing them together would be more overwhelming.

My wife has been complaining about a clunk she hears every now and them from the front and after driving it myself a couple of times last week, I was beginning to suspect ball joints.

Well... While doing oil change on Saturday, I noticed that the sway bar end links had pretty much disintegrated themselves. Got some Moog's from O'Reillys, put them on and no more clunks. As the truck just hit 137K, I'm sure new ball joints wouldn't hurt, but I'm going to hold off on those for now. Main worry now is whether I have rear main leak or not.

It drops a drop or two every now and then and a couple of oil pan bolts looked like they could've been the culprits. Was able to tighten most oil pan bolts 1/8 to about 1/4 turn, so we'll see...

I had a similar issue I noticed on Friday. End link on the driver's side front was gone. Totally gone. I had been having a pretty bad vibration issue and fixing this solved it thank god.
