Local dealer to me had 3 2016 Yukon XL Denalis last month for sale for 53.5k. Snagged one up other two sold same day. Killer deal for a new vehicle ~1000 miles on it. Would be hard to find a 2016 still around.
how much off sticker?

why 1,000 miles?

got a 2018 LT Midnight package @ 55$ and change.... had to hunt it down and negotiated the price before driving 4 hours to get it.. but when you put 20K down dealerships are more apt to deal. Especially at the end of the month. Used to sell cars its about timing and finding the right salesperson.

but I dont see you finding a 2016

Having purchased many many vehicles in my short life, they don’t care how much money you’re putting down. They make more money on less down (likelihood of higher interest rate). All that matters to them is your credit score.

And I use to sell Chevys while in college. Being able to put $20k down is likely you feeling more confident and thus better at negotiating.

well yes and no.. used to sell cars aswell..

I got pre approved at local bank and let my salesman know it. Then told them if they can make the price right i wouold finance at a 1/2 point higher for the balance. i also mentioned and intend to over pay effectively negating that 1/2 point.

Original sticker was little under 80k.

They were left overs, had been sitting on their lots for over a year and a half. Believe dealership was recently sold to an investment group so I assume they were trying to right the books.

One vehicle had 150 miles, second one 300, mine 1000. I originally looked at the one with 150 miles but took me too long to pull the trigger (24 hours) and someone else bought it. I was left with the one with 1000 miles which looking at the paperwork in the car it was used for some dealership travel or something. Peanuts compared to the discount.
