I just got a used 05 Tahoe. It has the factory radio with disc changer and then a second plain radio in the second row.

It has onstar but no Bluetooth for hands free calling or streaming music and no auxiliary connection to hook up an mp3 player.

If I install an aftermarket touch screen radio with Bluetooth will that affect the On Star system at all or will it still work?

What about the radio in the second row? Will that still work if I remove the factory radio and put in an aftermarket unit??

If you change the radio yes it will affect your Onstar but they sell a harness that will allow you to keep using your onstar. And the radio controls in the console will stop working with the aftermarket radio.

Something else you may want to know, a lot of times the chime system and factory theft system are run thru the radio. The "Chime" usually automatically defaults to loud when you change out a headunit for a non factory one. Its REALLY loud when it does too.
