I've replaced the fan, cleaned it out under in the box free of leaves and junk. I've had it charged. How do you make the A/C feel like it does in a brand new truck? There's gotta be a way. It just doesn't blow near as hard.

I have no idea, how difficult is it to take the dash apart and get back there?

very time consuming things like the steering column would need to come out. if you went that far i would open the hvac box and ensure the entire thing is spotless and install new seals everywhere.

I've been reading about the a/c cleaning service that some shops use. The idea is that the chemical they push through the system is supposed to remove the gunk buildup that accumulates in the pipes, etc. I just had my system charged last week and might try the cleaning in June before it gets super hot. Need to back in a week or so to see if the dye they injected identifies any leaks, first.

If you are not getting enough airflow, there probably is dirt and crud on the evaporator that is blocking the air. Pretty hard to clean, I have not tried it on one of these, but sometimes you can remove the blower motor and clean the evaporator with compressed air and brake clean. Use the non flammable stuff.

Y2KpewterZ, those temps are pretty good, get any colder and it will freeze. It is normal to be warmer at idle when the compressor is not turning as fast.
