What is best way to black out chrome

I used that Duplicolor Shadow Chroms paint on both front n rear bumpers awhile back. It ended up looking pretty goof. pretty amazed how well it has held up. A few rock chips from road trips, but nothing major. Wanna do something else with bumpers, but if you prep right n use adhesion promoter, and alot of clear coat!! Does what it says it will

I used plasti dip on all my chrome. Its more of a flat finish if thats your thing. The best part is it doesnt need any prep and it peels off it you dont want it anymore
