So I replaced front and rear struts because my 07 Yukon was riding horribly. Over speed bumps it felt like the wheels would drop very fast on the other side of the bump, and would clunk at the same time.

Well with the new struts the front is dropping very fast over speed bumps. It is riding a lot better other places.

Any ideas on what it could be?

Tires are the first line of suspension on any vehicle. Shocks and struts are there to keep the tire contact patch on th road surface and dampen spring rebound. It's perfectly normal to notice a more abrupt, stiffer feel right after new shocks/struts are installed. We get used to the gradual decay in ride quality as our shocks/struts accumulate miles....Slowly. The ride quality and handling characteristics deteriorate over time and we become accustomed and complacent with less function from the components. When we slap on the new set, the ride quality is immediately brought back to original specs and quality and we tend to think there is something wrong with what we bought. Give it a week and you won't even notice it anymore.

I know what you mean the quick drop off after a speed bump or railroad tracks. My old struts did that as well. I replaced with non electronic gas struts and now its a way quieter, it was really loud when i dropped off the end of a high railroad crossing, now its quieter but still goes down pretty fast. Just part of staying on the road. Its not going to ride like a car of course. If you have electronic shocks they detect things like that and stiffen up so thats why you might still have that issues on big sharp bumps.
