what is this for

i picked up an 01 denali and finally got a chance to look around the inside of the truck a little more.
Found this behind the glove box. 2 harness unplugged. here is a photo of what it looks like. right now the only thing not working correctly in the truck is the D.I.C on my center console and the onstar light is not not on. (no light on unit)

Do you have an aftermarket stereo? Might be harness for factory amp(bose).
