What is this hose in the wheel well?

Folks, I have changed oil in my 2020 Tahoe LS 4x4 today and I have noticed this hose with a cap at the end sticking out into a wheel well. Certainly does not look correct. Any idea on what it is and where it should be attached to?

I do not have a 4x4 but im guessing front diff vent. Probably has a spot that tree should be pushed into but im not sure where that would be.

Front diff vent it just sits on top of driver side strut

Now I need to look at mine and see where they ran it, that’s not high enough IMO. Thanks for adding another item to my to-do list.

Mine the vent was taped to a wire connector with a barb on it I put that connector behind fuse block wire and drilled a hole in fender liner for the barb so it holds vent hose up.
